J.PHLIP and UMFANG make for a team that reaches outside the usual bounds of the INCOGNITO sound for this team-up with Owenart—breaks, wobbly bass and electro abound alongside the usual rumbling techno.
/ DESCRIPTION
On Saturday January 14, the INCOGNITO Annual Capricorn Celebration returns featuring the enigmatic J.PHLIP as well as the talented UMFANG, plus Mr Jenifer and Ana Valdes on opening duty.
J.PHLIP started by winning a DJ competition in 2005, then becoming one of the integral parts of dance music since 2008, but she is someone who has never really fit a musical box, and she will flex her techno & house muscles for this special celebration.
Meanwhile, Technofeminism resident and Discwoman co-founder, UMFANG plays a rare LA set of raw & amorphous polyrhythmic techno.
Setting up the night will be two of our faves, Psychicbody’s Mr Jenifer and the spitire known as Ana Valdes.
This night of cutting-edge house and techno coincides with the birthday bonanzas of Owenart and our co-founder Alan.
