Raised on a musical diet of funk, jazz, reggae and rare groove, it was the 1980s hip hop and electro explosion that truly captured Dillinja’s heart. As a teenager, he was building custom amps and bass bins — his bedroom so packed with audio gear, he slept on top of speaker cabinets. After selling off his sound system components, he dove headfirst into music production and never looked back. Known for his fusion of dark basslines and tightly produced beats, Dillinja has been called on to remix for the likes of David Bowie, Björk, Basement Jaxx and more.
As part of the legendary Valve Sound System alongside Lemon D, he is responsible for some of the genre’s most seminal moments on labels like V, Philly Blunt, Metalheadz and his own Valve imprint. With his pioneering basslines, intricate rhythms, and futuristic sound design, he’s earned a reputation as one of the most innovative producers in the genre.
